Church Life Review
Guidance and documents for undertaking a comprehensive review of your church's life, mission, and vision for the future.
What is a Church Life Review?
A Church Life Review (CLR) is a structured process designed to help a local church take stock of its current situation, reflect on its calling, and prayerfully discern God's vision for its future. It is a valuable tool for congregations at any stage, whether they are planning for a new project, navigating a period of change, or simply seeking to deepen their mission and discipleship.
The process encourages churches to look honestly at their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges, providing a foundation for effective planning and faithful action.
The Review Process & Documents
The framework for undertaking a Church Life Review is provided in two key documents: an overview of the process and a church profile template. It is recommended that you read the overview first before completing the church profile.
Both documents are available for download on our Mission & Discipleship Resources & Forms page.
Next Steps
Completing a Church Life Review is often the first step towards a new mission or development project. If your review has identified a need that requires financial support, please see our page on Funding for Mission for information on how to apply for a grant.
