A free guide to help churches prepare for and respond to a media or community crisis.

The URC has published an updated Crisis Communications Plan — a practical guide designed to support synods, local churches and staff in dealing with a media crisis or responding to a community tragedy.
The plan covers how to handle media enquiries, agree statements, use social media effectively during an incident, and ensure your church is prepared before a crisis occurs. It includes key contact details for the URC Communications Team, template holding statements, and step-by-step guidance for a range of scenarios.

A little preparation now can make a significant difference when it matters most. We encourage all churches in the synod to familiarise themselves with this resource.
