Youth Residential 2026: Wise Words

A joint youth weekend of adventure, creativity and faith for young people aged 11–16

Posted on Thursday, January 22, 2026

Young people from Thames North Synod and Southern Synod are invited to come together for a fun-filled and meaningful weekend away at the Youth Residential 2026.

Running from Friday 29 May to Sunday 31 May 2026, this joint residential will take place at Whitemoor Lakes — a fantastic outdoor venue designed for adventure, teamwork and reflection.

A Weekend to Explore “Wise Words”

This year’s theme, “Wise Words”, invites young people to explore how words shape who we are, how we treat one another, and how faith speaks into everyday life. Through a mix of activities, discussion and worship, the weekend will encourage young people to think, share, listen and grow together in confidence and faith.

What’s Included?

The programme offers a great balance of activity, creativity and space to reflect, including:

  • Outdoor activities that build confidence, teamwork and resilience
  • Creative workshops where young people can express themselves in different ways
  • Games and social time to relax, laugh and make new friends
  • Discussion spaces to explore faith, questions and ideas together
  • Worship that is engaging, inclusive and rooted in community

There’s something for everyone — whether you love being active, creative, thoughtful, or all three.

Who Is It For?

The residential is open to young people aged 11 to 16, starting from Year 7. No previous experience is needed — just a willingness to join in, meet others, and be part of the group.
