Families on Faith Adventures @ Home
To support faith at home, the national Children's and Youth Work team has produced 'Families on Faith Adventures @ Home'. These resources provide a 'pick and mix' selection of activities, prayers, and challenges based around a different Bible reading each week, drawing on materials from Pilots and Friends on Faith Adventures (FOFA).

No matter what your family make-up, we hope you will find something useful to you amongst these suggestions.
You can download all the weekly activity sheets from our Children & Families Resources & Forms page.
Children and Youth Friendly Church Award Scheme
The Children and Youth Friendly Church Scheme is an exciting opportunity for a local congregation to look afresh at its life with children, young people, and families. Guided by a trained accompanier, a church can explore its strengths, values, and hopes for the future.

The scheme encourages, reflects, and celebrates with you, rather than giving you a series of hurdles to jump. A church with this award has demonstrated a comprehensive vision for children's and youth work, provides opportunities for young voices to be heard, and takes their safeguarding and safety responsibilities seriously.
For more information, please contact your synod children’s and youth development officer (CYDO) or the Assembly children’s and youth work office.
URC Lundie Award
Do you know a child or young person who is playing their part in the Mission of God? Why not nominate them for a Lundie Award?
This award is designed to spotlight and celebrate individuals using their God-given skills, time, and talents to good effect within their church, community, or synod. Each month for 100 months, an award of a certificate, a special medal, and £100 will be made to one young person. The prize money is to be spent on something of their choice that benefits children and young people in their church or synod.

Suggested nominations could include a young carer, a young person running a holiday club, a child volunteering at a dementia café, or a young person providing live music for services.
If you are interested in nominating someone, please contact Lorraine Downer (TN CYDO) for a form. You can find her details on our Children & Families Contacts page.
